You can give a talk

I have been programming for many years but giving talks I never thought what was something I could do. I thought people would not understand me and that terrified me.

A few years ago a friend invited me to give a talk to a group of JavaScript students. For the first time I plucked up the courage and said yes.

Prepare the talk, the presentation, the pictures, use memes and everything.

The day of the talk to my surprise, I didn't feel nervous at all. The talk was good, I knew I had things to improve but the students loved it. They asked me dozens of questions, they showed their interest. Some of them even follow me on Instagram.

From there I have given talks, webinars, consultancies, in English and Spanish. For beginners and professionals. Some better than others, but I have always learned a lot preparing and giving them.

The best way to learn is to teach. If you want to learn, dare to share your knowledge, you will lose nothing.
